L.A. Rex was optioned by Scott Rudin Productions, producers of, among many other things, No Country for Old Men (from the novel by Cormac McCarthy), Freedomland (from the novel by Richard Price), and The Hours (from the novel by Michael Cunningham.

Will Beall is currently working on the screenplay for L.A. Rex.
